SUNDAY, OCTOBER 25, 2026 | 2 PM

Join us for our first concerts of the 2026-27 season, marking the debut of Jonathan Moore as the Conductor and Music Director of the Central Oregon Symphony!

The concert opens with Bernstein’s sparkling Overture to Candide, full of wit, energy, and dazzling orchestral color. Bend, Oregon native John Fawcett joins us for Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1. Recently appointed Principal Violin of the Boise Symphony, Fawcett is an accomplished performer whose expressive musicianship and technical brilliance make him an exciting soloist. Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6, “Pastoral,” concludes the program with a vivid musical portrait of the countryside. From peaceful streams and birdsong to a dramatic thunderstorm and a joyful hymn of thanksgiving, the symphony celebrates the beauty and restorative power of nature with warmth, lyricism, and enduring optimism.
