Our Winter Concert Series will feature the three winners of the Michael Gesme Young Artist Competition. These young musicians will be showcasing their remarkable talent and artistry as they perform selected concertos with the orchestra. The program also features Rossini’s sparkling Overture to La Gazza Ladra, Gershwin’s vibrant An American in Paris, and Coleridge-Taylor’s energetic Danse Nègre, each offering its own distinctive blend of rhythm, color, and character. John Williams’ soaring “Flying Theme” from E.T. brings a sense of wonder and adventure to this celebration of music and the remarkable talent of the next generation of musicians.
