Director of Operations: Krista Aasland

Krista Aasland has been with the Central Oregon Symphony Association since June 2012 and is currently the Director of Operations (previously the Executive Assistant and Administrator). Krista spent ten years working as a customer service representative, administrative & executive assistant, youth programs coordinator and recreation leader in the automotive industry, garbage & recycling industry and youth recreation industry before heading to Bend to work in the music industry! She is a highly trained & talented musician who performs in musical productions at local venues, including 2nd Street Theater and Tower Theater, playing the flute, piccolo, clarinet and saxophone. Krista is also the Flute Instructor and a part of the Piano Faculty at the Cascade School of Music.

Krista has a Master of Music, Flute Performance degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, a Bachelor of Arts, Music degree from Boise State University and studied music education at Portland State University. She grew up in Bend (GO Lava Bears!) and is thrilled to be living here again! She spends her time outside of the office with family and friends, practicing yoga, running, cooking/baking and reading. She lives in beautiful Bend with her daughter, Sophia and her cat, Lulu.
